Girls, Girls, Girls

Girls, Girls, Girls

My Husband wanted a girl this second time around and BOY did he get one.  Well, he got three!!!  We're having three identical girls and here's a little something from him on the subject, LOL.

Bryant: I initially wanted a baby girl but after knowing we were having triplets, I REALLY wanted girls.  A couple of reasons why: 1.)  I figured four boys plus me would eventually send my wife to an asylum. 2.) I would be expected to take the boys every where I went after the baby stage.  3.) Girls love their Dads, you know, Daddy's little girls.. and sons would let me rot in my old age, because I would have to give them tough love, something my wife doesn't understand. LOL.

Back to me... I didn't have a preference at first, but once I found out we were having triplets, deep down inside I wanted girls.  I wanted to give our family a little balance and give Kanon his own lane. He'll be four years older and the only boy, Bryant's little buddy.

Once people found out we were having triplets girls, we got a lot of "Poor Kanon" talk, but whether we were having girls or boys, people would be saying the same thing. People say, you're going to have to pay for 3 weddings, 3 proms , etc., Um.. people, we get it, three of everything. For most people, their fear for the most part went to finances.  Believe me, money will always be a issue, so hopefully we as parents, won't let that dictate too much of our life. We're having to learn early, to think positive, plan efficiently and try not to worry. I'm sure this will be a life time goal of mine.

I find myself getting defensive, because people can not understand the life of a multiple... but I've lived it and have found nothing negative because of it. Other than an occasional mistaken identity and being called Monique (my sister) which I don't really mind.. she's gorgeous!!  Even though we didn't have any intentions of having triplets, we clearly were aware of the chance of at least having twins. Now that we're here, I can't stop thinking how blessed we are and theres no turning back!!!
